Ruslaan Movie Review ( Latest Bollywood Movies 2024)

The story revolves around a police officer who adopts the son of a terrorist. As the boy grows up, he is determined to rise above his troubled past and dedicate himself to serving his country, proving his patriotism. While such a plot would have been a crowd-pleaser decades ago, the 2024 version lacks the gripping drama, emotional depth, and unpredictability that would have made it truly memorable. The script feels formulaic and the climax fails to deliver any surprises, leaving audiences yearning for the intense excitement and genuine emotional connection found in classic Bollywood films.

The storyline is developed by Shiva, while the screenplay for Karan Lalit Butani's direction is crafted by Yunus Sajawal, Mohit Srivastava, and Kavin Dave. Amidst the action-packed slow-motion fight sequences, Ruslaan's unwavering patriotism and dedication to his nation are prominently highlighted. Assigned a crucial mission to thwart potential threats from Pakistan and China, Ruslaan, despite his adoptive father's reservations, clandestinely serves RAW.

The narrative gradually unfolds within the initial 45 minutes, drawing viewers into the enigma surrounding the elusive terrorist, Kasim, aptly dubbed as the "ghost" for his covert operations. However, the intrigue surrounding Kasim loses momentum due to the leisurely storytelling, until a pivotal lift sequence injects adrenaline into the plot. Ruslaan's gripping confrontation in the lift, battling to rescue a friend, offers riveting action and serves as a turning point, heralding the arrival of the film's first major twist.
