Faisalabad University announced to Banned valentine's Day

After announcing banned on valentine's day by Vice Chancellor of Faisalabad University, the debate started. A lot of people are coming with mixed comments.
It is reported that Vice Chancellor Zafar Iqbal Randhawa announced that instead of celebrating Valentine's day we should promote Sister's Day and female students can be gifted scarves and abayas. He further explained by giving the statement that " We being a Muslim should promote our values and culture rather than importing the Western culture, that become the eye of today's youth. We should discourage such events that people are adapting without any acknowledgement.Women are at a high rank for us and by celebrating Sister's day we are given the soft image that how the sister's are being loved in Pakistan".
The Islamabad High Court has also banned the activities on social and electronic media and advised not to have any event promoted in favor of Valentine's day.
Although that opened a debate and media industry had come up with open comments. Usman Khalid Butt tweeted on his twitter with the harsh words

It somehow good to have strictly followed your own cultures and values rather than to get attracted to the others.
