Kangna Ranauat starrer movie Manikarnika is ready to release on Friday 24 January. The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. And if the trailer is anything to go by, the blazing Kangana has taken the character of courageous Rani Laxmi Bai quite well. Not only Rani Laxmi Bai, but the film also sees the story of another warrior, Jhalkari Bai , played by Ankita Lokhande . And at a time when women in Bollywood are finding their own voice both onscreen and offscreen, it's exciting to see a film like Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi finally being helmed and well, releasing. Well one can only hope that Manikarnika turns well on the screen and make a record turnover as we are going to see Kangna after 2 years on screen.The fans are obviously sures that the film is about the patriotism they have been waiting for.
