Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer movie created hype before release. A sequel of Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster Singham and loosely adapted from Telugu hit Temper, Simmba seems like a product conceived by a marketing individualist. Ranveer Singh played the role of a bankrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao or Simmba, he turns a blind eye to crime if the price is right. When Simmba, like Singham, gets transferred from hometown Shivgad to Miramar police station in Goa, he’s warned about local monopolist Durwa Ranade (Sonu Sood). But Simmba isn’t the kind to brush the baddies the wrong way as long as he’s rewarded for his ignorance. Sara Ali khan played the role of Shagun who runs a catering outfit in the neighbourhood catches the eye of Ranveer and their love story started.
